CBS NEWS COMES TO REEDLEY
Reedley College was put in the national media spotlight February 5, as CBS Network Correspondent Meg Oliver and her team visited the campus to profile our Flight Science program. Oliver’s story also included the history of aviation in the City of Reedley, the future of electric planes in our area, and the connection with Boeing to get local elementary school kids interested in aviation at an early age. RC Flight Science Program Instructor John Johnson, student Lorenzo Rios, and City of Reedley City Manager Nicole Zieba were interviewed for the story, which has created a lot of buzz in the community. Johnson has received multiple inquiries from people across the country about the program since the story aired. Local coverage was provided by ABC 30, KSEE 24, CBS 47, FOX 26, Univision 21, The Mid Valley Times, and KVIE (PBS, Sacramento).
