Residence Hall

As of June 15, 2020 the Residence Hall has reached it’s occupancy limit of 70 resident students total for the Fall 2020 semester. Housing will only be offered to students that require face-to-face labs and lectures, face-to-face labs and lectures are held on campus and not online.  All students are advised to review their class schedule for the Fall.

State Center Community College District has reached a decision on the fall semester.  Fall classes will primarily be taught online with a few limited courses that require face-to-face interaction. 

Faculty, classified professionals, students and our industry partners along with public health officials were and continue to be involved in the planning of our Fall 2020 semester.

Any contract fee or rent/café fees paid will be refunded within 14 business days.

An email will be sent to all students who have already applied for housing to confirm either a refund or bed space for Fall if they are enrolled in Face to face instruction.

Choosing to live in the Reedley College Residence Hall is one of the best ways to adjust to college life while building a strong network of friends. The Residence Hall offers a variety of leadership opportunities. It is a safe, clean, welcoming, 24 hour staffed two story living facility with separate housing for 100 men and 100 women.

FACILITIES

The Residence Hall is located on the south end of the campus. Women are housed on the second floor, and men are housed on the first floor with a common recreation room, computer lab, and full kitchen for student use. It offers students comfortable and inexpensive living in an environment conducive to learning and studying. Separate restroom and laundry facilities are provided on each floor.

 

STUDENT ROOMS

Contracts are written to house two students per room and are written on a semester basis. The resident rooms include two beds and mattresses an attached desks, two chairs, two wardrobe closets, two sets of drawers. Each room has individually controlled heating and air-conditioning. Students are allowed to have a refrigerator in his or her room.

STAFF

The office is located on the first floor of the complex.Residence Hall supervisors are responsible for, and in immediate charge of, the Residence Hall staff.
The staff includes resident students who live in assigned rooms on each of the floors.
Para-professional staff is available during the evenings and late night, 7 days a week.

STUDY CONDITIONS

Residence Hall students and staff are concerned with creating and maintaining a good study environment within the Residence Hall. Therefore, courtesy hours are in effect from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. During these hours, conditions conducive to study and sleep are required in the hall and in the immediate vicinity.

A 6-station computer lab is available to the residents.

RECREATION AND ACTIVITIES

Residents have access to outdoor tennis, basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and gymnasium activities. Leisure activities are planned by Residence Hall staff to provide relaxation and the opportunity for the residents to make new friends.
