Hispanic Heritage Month is annually celebrated in the United States from September 15th to October 15th. The honorary month is a time to commemorate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Latinx people whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. Hispanic Heritage Week was first observed in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan expanded it to span 30 days.
