The second project using Measure ‘C’ funds is underway at RC. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new
Math & Science Building was held January 22 behind the Aeronautics Building, which is right next to the construction site. SCCCD Board Trustee Magdalena Gomez emceed the event, which was attended by more than 100 people. Among the guest speakers included Chancellor Dr. Paul Parnell, RC President Dr. Jerry Buckley, RC Math Center Coordinator Rebecca Reimer, RC Biology Instructor Joseph Lin and City Manager for the City of Reedley, Nicole Zieba. SCCCD board members and campus presidents took part in the ceremonial shoveling of dirt to help usher in an exciting time for the campus. The $20 million dollar project is scheduled for completion in time for the Fall 2021 semester.
