Mechanized Agriculture

The Reedley College Mechanized Agriculture program is accredited through the Association of Equipment Distributers.

The fast-growing heavy equipment industry offers excellent career opportunities for qualified entry-level technicians. The Equipment Service Technician Program at Reedley College is designed to meet industry-specific requirements. The program proudly places 90% of graduates.

The Equipment Service Technician Program is sponsored and supported by Quinn Company, the Caterpillar dealer for the Central Valley and Los Angeles areas. You'll work on Cat engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical systems, and Cat machines. Reedley College has state-of-the-art labs and diagnostic equipment patterned after dealer shops. Following AED guidlines, factory-trained instructors will help you develop the skills necessary for a job in the equipment industry.

Mechanized Agriculture (AS)

The A.S. degree in Mechanized Agriculture is a two-year program that prepares Equipment Technicians for entry-level positions and advanced opportunities. The program combines lecture, hands-on lab activities and a required work-based internship during the summer term.


Mechanized Agriculture (CA)

The Certificate of Achievement provides intensive, practical, hands-on instruction for entry-level technicians that can be completed in one year. A work-based internship is required during the summer term following instruction.
