English as a Second Language (ESL)

Why Study English as a Second Language (ESL) at RC

Program provides ESL students with the reading, writing and oral skills in English needed to succeed in a variety of advanced academic and vocational situations. Students attaining completing program will be ready to begin study in vocational and academic programs.

Students learn how to write sentences using basic grammatical structures and develop vocabulary by reading about life skills, the work place, and everyday situations.

How to Enter ESL Program

The first step is to apply for admissons. View this video for instructions. If you need further help with the application, please contact Dulce at (559) 494-3011.

Once you have applied, you will receive an email with your student ID number. After you have received that number, contact Rebecca Al Haider (rebecca.alhaider@reedleycollege.edu) to take a questionnaire to see what level you should register for.  

After completing the questionnaire, a counselor will contact you to make an appointment to register for classes. If a counselor does not contact you within 48 hours, please contact the counseling office at (559) 494-3037.
