Nursing Assistant Training

The Reedley College Nursing Assistant Training program is accredited through the California Department of Public Health.

CNA's are in great demand. Many students get job offers right away or decide to continue in one of the LVN programs in the region. The mission of the Reedley College CNA Program is to prepare the student as an entry level worker in the medical field, providing basic nursing care to patients in acute care and long-term care settings. The curriculum is structured to provide both theory and clinical skills needed to function as a Nursing Assistant. Upon completion with passing grades, students will be eligible to take the state certification examination.

The Nursing Assistant Training program theory section is taught on campus and clinical is taught at Palm Village, a well equipped Retirement Community with long term care located 1.5 miles from Reedley College, at West Herbert Avenue. After successful completion of the one semester intensive theory and clinical practice students are eligible to take the American Red Cross NAT Exam to become a Certified Nurse Assistant, a CNA.
