Will you be doing the same, at least partially? 12:10:25 From Linda de Morales : why is this not closed caption ?... at least I could read what the prez is saying 12:10:36 From brighten : They would have to be automated. 12:10:42 From mh001 : @ Crystal - yes we will be refunding $15 on the parking permits. This will be a credit on your account to be used for next semester or you can apply for a refund. 12:10:42 From George Takata : Peter- Call 301-4005 to check out a laptop and/or mifi. We still have some available. 12:11:34 From Crystal’s iPad : Thanks 12:12:53 From Tyler : As a on campus student worker that was completing a work study course, I have been informed that I will have to take a incomplete from the instructor, due to the campus shut down and my hours still needing to be completed. These 2 units are required for me to graduate. How will this effect my graduation? 12:14:11 From Chris Cortes : VA students should contact the Veterans Center via e-mail regarding eligibility questions. 12:14:15 From Samara Trimble : @Ben - The Veterans Center is available to help navigate Veterans Benefits. You can reach them via email at rc.veterans@reedleycollege.edu or phone 559-638-0300 ext. 3400 just leave a message with the best number for them to reach you at. 12:14:41 From Casandra Chombo : does anyone know if the deadline for Financial Aid Appeals has passed, if not are we able to still submit them and how? 12:15:45 From ERIK ROSAS : Dose DSP&S have a zoom room? 12:15:48 From scott : This summer I had planned to take a chemistry class, I know that classes will be 100% online but requires a lab. Will this still be available to take as it was offered in person. Thank you in advance. 12:16:53 From brighten : @scott, it looks like at this time the labs with be simulated unless your instructor gives you an incomplete where work will be completed after the academic semester to get the full credit. 12:17:16 From Renee Craig-Marius : @Erik - Yes, DSPS will be providing zoom open hours...DSP&S will be providing open zoom hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am – 12:00 noon for general questions, tutoring, and alternative media. Hours will expand in upcoming weeks. https://www.reedleycollege.edu/student-services/disabled-student-programs-and-services/index.html 12:17:24 From Chris Cortes : The Spring Financial Aid Appeal deadline has not passed. You may still submit an appeal until April 4th 12:19:29 From Zack : For the Welding Lab a Simulation was mentioned can you please elaborate? Thank you 12:20:37 From Amanda James : With regards to the graduation ceremony. Please consider moving it to later in the year. You have students who have not only come back and completed their degrees after 20 years, birthed children, gone through divorces, life changes, all while maintaining their GPAs. For a lot of us We are the first ones in our families to graduate college. We are feeling like this is a punishment. Also, the email that came out said that we had to apply for our degree and graduation by April 1st. This would be great if those of us who are allowed to walk and celebrate and still need to take one course this summer were able to register for our summer course in time. But, we are now told that we can not register until after April 1st. Can we look at pushing these dates back. I am sure that Seniors would be willing to postpone a ceremony till August or December even if we got to actually have one and to experience this event that for some of us is a one in a life time event. 12:21:06 From Casandra Chombo : I have my appeal ready to turn in, but how will I do it? would I submit it through email to Financial Aid or? 12:21:18 From ERIK ROSAS : How can I get a hold of my DSP&S counselor? 12:21:18 From brighten : Just hack the wifi password of private networks. ;p 12:21:57 From samuel morgan : The zoom meeting is being recorded and can be played back with captioning. 12:22:20 From Dale van Dam : @scott: faculty in Biol and Chem have found ways to adequately simulate the laboratory experience and deliver the content you would have gotten in a face to face format. Our university partners have verified that they will accept articulated courses delivered in the online environment. if you are scheduled to take a lab course this summer, I would not change your SEP. As soon as you know the instructor's name, email them to discuss how labs will be delivered in detail. 12:22:35 From Chris Cortes : Financial Aid appeals may be submitted by e-mail or fax 1-800-643-0932. 12:24:44 From Jamie BARKER : I’m fine with surveys. 12:24:56 From LInda Reither : @Erik: contact me Erik and I will connect you to your DSPS counselor. 12:25:52 From rclrc110 : pushing back the commence ceremony would be greatly appreciated. A survey would be very beneficial. 12:26:42 From Samantha D : Is it possible to make classes in small groups so we can still have in person classes (during the summer)? 12:27:08 From Heaven Dill : So we only get partially refunded if we possibly drop class(es)? 12:29:11 From brighten : and 100,000 hospitalizations from the flu. 12:29:35 From mh001 : @ Heaven - can you clarify which refund you are inquiring about? 12:30:30 From Crystal’s iPad : I have heard that classes maybe graded as pass/fail, but as a student who would like to attend medical school later on, many of these schools want letter grades. I would not want this to affect me later when applying to med school, I just want to add that input just in case this idea of pass and fail maybe actually happen. 12:30:33 From Tyler : Forgive me if this has been asked, will the mental health services still be offered and how would we go about contacting the school therapist? 12:30:41 From Antonio : maybe I missed this part, but how are things looking for the summer semester? will all classes be moved to online format? where do we stand on that? 12:31:04 From George Takata : Hi Antonio - The summer semester is moving to a 100% online format. 12:31:52 From lizette : The only question I have is were can I call to make address change?? I been trying to contact the admissions and records office and I havnt gotten a response back. I also have no way of doing it through webadvisor its not allowing me to update my address at the moment. What can I update my information?? 12:32:13 From Heaven Dill : No I wasn’t referring to the EW. I meant because our financial aid covered more than just our classes so will we get refunded for the things that it also covered ? 12:32:23 From Dale van Dam : @Heaven: we hope you'll consider continuing your existing class in the online or remote learning environment first. We are committed to providing the resources necessary for you to succeed in the modality and our focus is allowing students to complete their goals on the same schedule whenever possible. 12:32:46 From Kari Irby : Sorry if I missed the answer....just wondering if we will still be receiving our next financial aid payments? 12:32:46 From Jose Gutierrez : Whats the difference from a (W) and a (EW) and would that affect transfer college applications 12:33:05 From Linda Nies : Lizette - address changes are handled through My Portal - Self Service 12:33:13 From George Takata : Tyler - Our campus nurse is on campus Monday-Friday from 9am-1pm. If you are, please contact rc.bso@reedleycollege to update the address for this mailing. 12:39:43 From ld020 : what about fall semester? online or FTF? 12:40:26 From Andrea Mendoza : What about EOPS meetings or help for low income students? Not a refund, but compensation for the disruption this has caused. (She’s my student and she clarified in a private chat.) 12:43:48 From Melanie Highfill : @ Tyler if you have paper checks, they will mail them from the District Office to the address you have on file 12:44:02 From Anthony : Also, how about for student workers who also work during the summer? are there any possibilities that some campus departments will go back to working in the office? 12:44:18 From Linda Nies : Tyler - to change direct deposit, please access My Portal - Banking Information.
