To be eligible for most financial aid programs an applicant must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, naturalized citizen, or eligible non-citizen,
     

  • Have a High School diploma, GED certificate, or other recognized equivalent, OR have passed the Ability to Benefit (ATB) Test,
     

  • Not be on Financial Aid Disqualification as defined in the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy,
     

  • Register with Selective Service (if you are male) or submit verification of registration waiver eligibility,
     

  • Be enrolled in and attending an eligible program of study,
     

  • Not be in default or overpayment on any federal grant or loan,
     

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have financial need.
