Reedley College Early Alert/Progress Monitoring Program
Welcome to the Reedley College Early Alert webpage. Reedley College is committed to student success and therefore we have developed an Early Alert/Progress Monitoring program to identify students with potential academic and performance difficulties in the classroom. In general, our goal is to identify and contact at-risk students so we can provide the necessary interventions for academic success.

What are the Goals of the Reedley College Early Alert/Progress Monitoring Program?
1) To identify “at-risk” students early in the semester and encourage these students to access campus support services.
2) To provide campus support programs such as EOP&S (Extended Opportunity Programs & Services, DSP&S (Disabled Student Programs & Services), CalWorks (California Work Opportunities & Responsibility to Kids), SARP (Student Athlete Retention Program), and Reedley College Residence Hall, with academic progress updates on how students in their programs are performing in the classroom.

How are Early Alert/Progress Report Referrals made? What happens after a referral is made?
1) Instructors make referrals for specific students via the Early Alert WebAdvisor program.

WebAdvisor

2) The RC Counseling Dept. downloads Early Alert referrals made via WebAdvisor on a weekly basis from the 2nd week through the 15th week of instruction for the Fall/Spring semesters.
3) Referred students are mailed & e-mailed referral notifications encouraging them to meet with a counselor. Students also receive a courtesy call from the RC Phone Bank reminding them to schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor.
4) Weekly reports listing referred students are sent to EOP&S (Extended Opportunity Programs & Services, DSP&S (Disabled Student Programs & Services), CalWorks (California Work Opportunities & Responsibility to Kids), SARP (Student Athlete Retention Program), and Reedley College Residence Hall. These support programs attempt to contact students referred from their program for intervention.
5) Once a student has responded and receives Early Alert counseling or has been contacted by a student services support program, a summary contact report is forwarded to the referring instructor for follow-up information.
