Student Admissions
Admission to Reedley College is open to anyone (which includes residency requirements) who is at least 18 years old, or has a high school diploma, or the equivalent (such as the California High School Proficiency Examination or GED). High school juniors and seniors may be admitted with the permission of their high school principal, their parent or guardian, and the college through the Advanced Enrichment Program (15% Program).

Application for Admission

All students are required to complete an application (preferably online) for admission (which includes a residency statement that must be filled out and mailed if entered online) and return it to the Office of Admissions and Records (Reedley College, 995 N. Reed Ave, Reedley, CA  93654). Students who have been enrolled during the past semester do not have to complete an application. Students who attend one of the North Center sites (Madera, Clovis, Oakhurst, Kerman) or South Center Community Campus sites (Kingsburg, Parlier, Fowler, Selma, Sanger, Dinuba, or Sunnyside) are given instructions regarding assessment, orientation, advising and registration for that site.  *Please note New Procedures discussed below.

Orientation
Orientation provides information concerning laws, rules, regulations, and strategies that govern or affect a student's enrollment and attendance at Reedley College. Information regarding registration, program changes, fees and refunds, study schedules and tutorial assistance is emphasized. Orientation information is provided in the Application for Admission, Schedule of Classes, College Catalog, special orientation handbook, and group sessions with staff during Testing, Orientation, Group Assisting, Rapid Registration, and Registration-To-Go.  NEW - ONLINE ORIENTATION!

Advising
Advising is available to all students. Results from placement tests may be used to assist counselors in determining appropriate course placement. First-time, full-time or degree-seeking students will be advised prior to registration. A student educational plan (SEP) will be partially developed at this time. The SEP will be reviewed and fully developed during the first semester of attendance. Students should contact their counselor or advisor to complete their SEP. Community Campus students may obtain advising on-site or may telephone for advising/counseling assistance on the main campus. Transfer and re-enrolling students should contact the Counseling Center the month prior to registration for advising service.

2.  Make sure that your materials have been date-stamped and initialed.
3.  Prepare a personal file in which to keep all of your processed forms.
