looked at something and wondered if there was a different way to use it? Have you ever thought, there must be an easier way to get something done? Have you ever used a tool in a manner other than what it was originally designed to be used for? Then you have experienced technology first hand.
There are many ways to define technology, but perhaps the easiest way to look at it is as the application of math, science, and the arts for the benefit of life as we know it. Without technology we would not have things like fire, tools, cars, or computers. In many ways technology is what happens when engineering and science intersect. For example, a scientist who wants to study the effects of light waves on the environment might need a computer program to record their data. They would then need someone to create that computer program. This is where technology comes into play.
